Hiking Mt. Timpanogos

So our goal this summer was so spend as much time as we could with each other, because in the fall and spring I only see matt like for one day out of the week. We are both very busy and Summer's are what we live for. We have always wanted to hike Timpanogos and go to the cave. It was a hard hike and lots of switchbacks, but it is really worth it if you haven't been.

Tons of water
We ate lunch at a campsite and Matt told me to do a model pose, wasn't so attractive;) ha ha.
This is how much water there was coming down the mountain in the rivers. It was kind of scary.
We noticed that there was a big pack of snow and a clearing of trees. So we think there was either a rock slide or an avalanche!? Kind of cool. This is looking up.
This is looking down the hill.

We like learning about the forest!

The light outside was so bright after we came out of the cave! This is my annoyed, my eyes hurt look.

I didn't realize how many pictures I put up of me (you will notice). Sorry, but this one shows the staligmites in the background.
They can grow from the ground and from the ceiling. No one knows how they can grow from the ground

There were a lot of deep dark holes leading to other caves very creepy.
You can see the staligmites are broken off. People have touched them in the past so it can't grow anymore
To grow from the bottom up takes millions of years
Lots of pools of water
You can see how pitch black it was
This was the light we could see when it was almost over, it was so comforting to know we were getting out and to see light!

This is how high we were up it felt like were on the very top of the mountains

Hiking Ensign Peak

The beautiful view at the top of Ensign Peak! We went hiking with the Caldwell clan. We went for Cory's Birthday. We went to Bruges Waffles before (It is so good). Bethany and Mark were visiting and it was fun for them to come.

The sun was so bright that it looks like Bethany is shooting lasers at Mark;).

I love reading the plaques at historic sites. I know some are boring, but it makes it more interesting.

Cory's Birthday picture. Little did we know that he had already been in tons of pictures and was pictured out.

Wilson Boy's Trip

The Wilson boy's have gone a couple of times to Cliff Lake in the past, but they never had seen this much snow before. They got a cabin and went fishing for a couple of days. Matt caught a couple of fish (pictures to come). Even though it snowed almost the entire time, Matt still had a blast.

Spencer
Taz
Krissie got to go because it was her gradation gift for graduating High School.
The cabin

Austin and Matt
It was still snowing
And snowing.....
you can see the top of the fence to show how much it really did snow
You can see the layer of snow on the hill to show how much snow there was
