This October Matt and I went on a hike by the Bountiful Temple and the leaves were so pretty! I wore my Orange shirt to remember Fall:)

Matt's birthday was this past August and it was so fun to celebrate! This video is so funny. I thought I was taking a picture but instead put it on video. Matt's cute laugh is one of things I love about him! You are going to have to tilt your head as it's playing sorry, but just hearing his laugh will make your day:).

Our Honeymoon! We went to Park City Marriot the first night and it was way nice. Then we went on a Cruise to Mexico. We went to Catalina Island and rented some bikes and rode up to the Wrigley Memorial. We also went to see La Buffadora in Ensenada, a blow hole by the ocean that shoots up way high. After LaBuffadora we bought stuff at the Market and bought fresh Mango's and Churro's. Yum! We went to vegas and it was Matt's first time actually in Las Vegas. We went to a Buffet and saw the Flamingo Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel. We also did boogieboarding, which was one of the highlights. We want to make boogieboarding a tradition! So fun! Our Honeymoon was a blast!

Our friends!
Matt's Grandparent's
I love this picture because it shows everyone who came and everyone that we love!

We got Married April 10th and have been married for over 8 months! I actually had Strep during this time so it was hard planning it all and having energy, but I was so blessed because it was a wonderful day and it all worked out and it was beautiful!
Christmas and New Years
The day before Thanksgiving, Matt proposed!
I thought we were going to go work out, but first Matt wanted to go get Subway sandwiches and eat them at a place by Suicide rock, one of my favorite places that looks over the valley. As we were eating, I got cold so I was going to put on his jacket. He was a little panicked in his face and said to hold on for a second. I guess the ring was in his jacket. He sent me to "get" something out of his car while he set up. I found roses in his trunk and I started crying because I knew. He got out Scrabble (our favorite game to play) and set it up to say "Will You Marry Me" and got on his knee. I started to cry said I said yes! I had to tell someone so I told a local hiker, but he didn't really look like he cared, so I told a dog barking at us:).

This is the weekend we decided to get married. We are showing off our free Jazz hats and showing off our costumes we made. The costumes we made took so long to make we missed the Halloween party that we were going to go to, so we went to Wal Mart to show them off and then watched a movie. We had so much fun making them. That night I couldn't sleep because I couldn't tell anybody I was getting Married! Eventually I told my sister Katie cause I couldn't keep it in....
Matt was The Green Lantern and I was Cleopatra
I guess we can start at the beginning of how Matt and I met and all the many blessings we have had this year! Our first picture as you see above is one of the first fun dates Matt and I went on. This is on Antelope Island and we went biking! This was one thing I have always wanted to do and it was fun to do it with Matt and get to know him. He included a surprise lunch that we ate along the trail.
Oh ya! First, I have to tell the story of how we met!
A month before we met, I had graduated from the University of Utah and Matt was working in California installing security systems. I graduated with a Interpersonal Communications Degree and a Minor in Piano Performance. After I graduated, I couldn't find a job. Dating was just not working out either. I felt like something was missing......
Matt says that during this time it wasn't working out for him either. Dating was so-so and selling security systems didn't work out.
The week after Matt came back to Utah permanently he decided to go Country Dancing at Studio 600 with his friends (he lives in Odgen btw). I was invited to go dancing at Studio 600 with my girlfriends the same night and was actually not going to go, but decided to go last minute because I felt like I needed to (I have only been once before and wasn't huge into dancing, so it was weird I had that feeling).
During the night, Matt had gotten a lot of girl's numbers, but mine was the last one he got. The last song that they played Matt said he had to ask me to dance. We talked as we danced (actually I talked mostly just cuz I talk a lot). He was really nice and cute and I gave him my number (which I didn't know him he lived far and I usually don't give my number when I don't know someone well...but I just thought "why not"). Matt said he was so excited to call me that he didn't even call any of the other girls.
Our first date we went to play hide and go seek at The Gateway. It was really fun and it felt like we knew each other so well by the end of the night! A couple of things that I liked about Matt right away was that he was so nice to my family and genuinely interested. He also was very handsome. He laughed at ALL my jokes, which were really lame I have to say. Last of all, he treated me SO well. He opened my door, got me anything I needed and made sure I was always taken care of!

One thing that I have to say to those of you that are single is that we felt that is was very meant to be and in the right timing. Matt and I felt like we needed to grow before we met. I honestly didn't think I would get married or not for a while, but the experiences I went through led to my happiness. I was happy being single and happy being myself. This lead to my confidence and trust in the lord, which I believe led to meeting Matt.

Driving from Odgen to Salt Lake, Centerville or wherever to meet each other was hard for the time we dated, but it was worth it.
