Brigham City Temple

At the end of August we went to the Brigham City Temple Open House. It was so neat! Especially that they had free cookies afterward;). What a fun opportunity to see inside the Temple. While we were up by Logan we stopped to go visit my little sister Angelee at Utah State. It happened to be the same day that she was moving in and my mom was helping her. We had lunch at Mo Bettah's. Yum! We then hit the creamies factory store, I think creamies were .19 cents! I had a Mango one it was so good.
Matt's Popsicle was like half melted and all misshapen.

We then headed to Gossner's and loaded up on the best cheese and milk there is;). Here is my mom with the Gossner's sign;).

We then helped my little sister move in and see her roundhouse. Oh boy it is the weirdest house, but looks like she will have lots of fun this year! Yay!

Matt's Birthday

Matt turned the young age of 18 this past August. We first celebrated by going to Tucano's!

Next up was presents of course! Matt was very excited...

I got him a gun that he said he wanted. The funny thing is he took that gun back later on. Ha Ha but he liked the surprise while it lasted;).
Another present I gave Matt was a cooking class at Harmon's. Even though the cooking classes are expensive it was SO fun! We learned a lot! We trained our tastebuds how to differentiate salt, cream sauces and spices, then he made a pasta dish for us. It was well worth it for Matt's birthday! Here is Matt in the car getting ready to drive to the cooking class.

Here is Chef Bob. We talked to him after and he was so nice!

Park City Ghost Tours

Before school started back in the Fall, Matt and I decided to go up to my family's cabin and enjoy a weekend. I have always wanted to ride our bikes on the Rail Trail by Park City. I did it a while back and loved it. It took a lot of time loading and unloading our bikes but we finally made it. It was gorgeous weather and with clear skies. As we rode we stopped to read little plaques about the history and about the railroad that would be on the same trail. I want to do it again in the summer. So much fun to get out and be together. We then headed to Park City because we had a Groupon for The Ghost Tours on Park City's Main Street. I have always wanted to do it. Little did we know that it was the Summer Arts Festival and it was so busy. we almost didn't make it. We had to run all the way up the main street to the top to finally make it AND to pay extra for the arts festival to get in.
We finally found a man dressed in black in a cloak with a staff and two teenage girls as the group we met up with. I was so embarrassed, people were staring at us the whole time as the guide told the stories. He was very animated. We would walk around to historic houses and he would tell us old ghost stories that supposedly happened. It started to get really interesting and fun!
Every time a story ended the guide would make us say with spirit fingers, "Say goodbye to the ghost"! So at every house we would wave goodbye to the ghosts. Ha Ha it was all part of the experience, but I learned that Park City was a bad place before it became a ski town. With the mines it was a terrible place: Prostitutes, murders, alcohol, gambling, drugs. The Chinese would sell drugs under the bridge by Main Street.
We then headed home and got dinner on the way one of my favorite days EVER!!

Matt and I on Main Street
There were these cool animals that moved at the Arts Festival. Main street was so cool, if you haven't been up there in a while they have done a lot of renovations, etc. It's cool up there!

Stephanie's Baby Shower!!!

At the end of July we had a baby shower for our good friend Stephanie Alva. It was so fun seeing everyone, hanging out in such nice weather, and having a little picnic;). I made homemade lemonade, I think Becca liked it!:).
I made that banner hanging up in the tree....I forgot to tape it down oh well. It matched well enough I guess;).
Water bottles I made because it was so hot! sheesh!

Lauren brought yummy sandwiches from Paradise cafe yum! Brie brought fruit and lettuce;) and Becca brought the best dessert.

Becca, Steph (she looked so cute prego!), me, Lauren, and Brie. Thanks for coming everyone! Not picured but they sent their best: Allison, Angela, Kassidy, and Jen. Missed you guys!!

Lauren made the party favors!! So cute! (I still have my box...Love them!) they matched so well to! Thanks Lar!
Becca did an unscrabble the baby words game, and a guess who game with all of the baby pictures of us. We had to guess who each baby was. I think the twins from Harry Potter are on there to? ha ha.

Happy Baby Steph! Lyndon is so cute!

What The???

One day during July I was teaching piano early in the morning. All of the sudden this weird bird came out no where and my student and I heard "wahh"! (that's the sound the bird made it was SO loud) and this goose, duck, penguin whatever it was (I still don't know to this day) flew onto the window sill  in our front window. As I could barely hear my student play and try to teach it was so distracting, but at the same time it was so funny. When I would ask a question my student couldn't hear me because the bird was talking away). The next student came and looking scared to death because they were of the birds. The birds were right by the front door and there was like 10 of them. After I taught I went to take pictures of them, I couldn't find them but then heard their loud cries and eventually found them. Who said Piano Lessons couldn't be exciting??

I think a couple of times during lessons there have also been birds stuck in the chimney in my parents front room. You could hear it flapping around during the lesson. I told my parents there were birds in there, then I found out later they forgot to get it checked out..........

Happy 4th of July

We headed up to my family's cabin on the 4th of July. My Little sister Ang found out that there was a 5k in Oakley in the morning. My sister July and her husband Cory just ran the Wasatch Back right before in June, Ang had been running, Matt and I had been running so Ang asked if we wanted to run it. We all decided it would be fun and also a good motivator for Matt and I. I had run 2 5k races in the past but I think I barely stopped in the middle to walk like once or twice. So this time I had a goal to run my fastest and to run the whole time. I never stopped and actually took 2 minutes off my time!! I still was very slow;) Next year I will try to beat my time.....we want to do it next year everyone in again??
Also, during the race I started to get sick and this is when all my health problems recently started. Little did I know that I was having a "flare-up" and it can start up while I am excercising. I have recently found out  "flare-up"'s are and now I know why I was sick during the race. It had to do with my Adrenal Fatigue, my Hashimoto's, and autoimmune gastritis. Anywho I didn't really know what it was at the time, so I just enjoyed myself and didn't worry;). I will tell about the details in another blog. Crazy though huh?

After the race we went to the parade. We got a good spot at the end of the parade route. The floats threw out SO much candy, we didn't know what to do with it all. The floats wanted to get rid of what they had and no one was around to fight to the candy. Pretty Sweet! Candy for Everyone!!
 Caleb and Matt

Even Smoky the Bear was there!!! Remember Only YOU can prevent forest fires

Adelynn was sitting in a rabbit chair so we asked her to make a rabbit face;)
We took family pictures at the cabin. Here is Matt and I....aren't we cute? ha ha.
